About Susan
![]()
Two years ago I spent my junior spring semester abroad here in Florence, like thousands of American students do every year. Coming over I had no idea what to expect, I didn’t know the language, the city, or my fellow students. However, as soon as I stepped off the plane I fell in love with Italy. Florence quickly turned into my second home. In one semester I learned about art, wine, Italian culture, and above all about myself. I returned reluctantly home to Connecticut after my five month European adventure, and decided I wanted an art history degree in addition to my business degree. In May 2006 I graduated from Lehigh University in marketing, but still had to finish my art history degree. Conveniently it worked out so that I could finish my art history major with Syracuse University in Florence in one semester, so I returned last fall.
This Spring I am taking a class at the University of Florence, interning at the Museo Arceologico and working with FlorenceForFun. In between I find time to discover Florentine museums and galleries, new restaurants, and travel of course. Ciao!
