Brunch Blog

By now many of you have run into me at Brunch at Angels, spoken about checking out Brunch at Angels, or at least noticed a flier lying around your school with a broken egg on the front and the FlorenceForFun logo on the back. That’s my BRUNCH!!

Out of all of the things I do each week, nightclubs, bars, beer pong, travel, tours, etc Brunch is my favourite. In fact Brunch started as a once off event to host a conversation exchange with an international food theme. Having had my once off fill of eggs and bacon suddenly I was craving Brunch every weekend. I had started something, a desire, need or craving that couldn’t really be filled by anyone in Florence.

And so Brunch was born. Now we are into the 5th season of Brunch which I think means we have been running for coming up to 3 years. During its 3 years, Brunch has seen many different chefs and staff. We have recently changed the menu to include new omelette flavours, 3 types of pancakes and a big brunch burger with fried egg of course added on to the classic menu filled with French Toast, Eggs Bennie, Steak, Salad, Hash Browns,…,….

American Brunch Every Sunday at Angels from 12pm to 3pm
Via del Proconsolo 29/31r - Florence
Bookings recommended and necessary for big groups more than 10 people and parties. Call or send a text message (sms) to Anna on 3287290848.

Below is a photo journal of what goes on at brunch:

Michael

I really meant that it is a Big Breakfast Burger…and look out for Michael in the mornings…clearly not friendly!!!

Eric Bennie

The Breakfast Buffet…with breakfast and a little reading material if you want to settle in for the afternoon.

The Buffet

It’s Eric the Eggs Benedict master - I wouldn’t be caught eating anything else at Brunch, it’s a favourite.

Hmm...eggs bennie

Then this would be the second favourite. Sometimes I even manage to fit a little of both in. It’s the thickest French Toast I have ever seen…

Angels French Toast

Fried eggs, scrambled eggs, poached eggs, omelettes,…

Smoked Salmon Scramble

I think we should be sponosred by derby…loving the granny smith green apple juice.

Thirsty

Lower those benedict calories and make it a eggs florentine - spinach is good.

NEW Eggs Florentine

The finished product - The New Big Breakfast Burger with double eggs - cholesterol BOMB!

Where's the burger?

Need something sweet, if you can’t fit in pancakes or french toast, a little strawberries and ice-cream is always tempting…

Dolce

The Brunch Kitchen Team. Keeping it American in Florence!
